Not sure how they come across their data (probably made up by a couple of people) but the website Toptenz.net has an interesting list of the top 10 adventure travel destinations. The full list with information is on the Toptenz website but for those who just want the count-down.
10. Norway
9. Madagascar
8. Switzerland
7. Nepal
6. Croatia
5. South Africa
4. British Columbia, Canada
3. Brazil
2. Australia
1. New Zealand
The main surprise is that there is nowhere from Central America in there.

Too BAD you cannot vote 100/10 because that´s what Allison + Vincent deserve for a) offering perfect training for the serious aerobatic pilot with Vincent leading you EXTREMLY patient and at the same time very precise to flying better every time as well as b) giving tons of fun to the one-time extreme-sport-addict. Well, and c) they have choosen such a nice area to fly over – couldn´t be better. I came over twice now from Germany to update my flying abilities and I am waiting for trip number 3! THANK YOU Allison + Vincent!

Good list, but seems a little bit to broad when defined at the country level! I can think of plenty of boring places in New Zeland, and at the same time there are thousands od great adventures to be had in a place as mundane as the USA. Take for example the time I spent rafting Cataract Canyon on te Colorado River this year when it was running at 80,000cfs! Now that’s an adventure!
Mountain climbing or Rock climbing may be a dangerous activity, but with the help of proper
training and good mountain climbing gear your risk can be minimized to a great extent.
That is a great list. Are there any lists for the specific places? I think it would be way much better. Thanks!
